Great turn out on Saturday

‘Set her Free!’ rang out, as supporters gathered for our seventh monthly demonstration outside the Hassockfield IRTC site. People came from across the region, including a welcome contingent of students from Durham Unversity. Indefatigable former detainee Agnes Tanoh was among the powerful speakers and singers at the  event, which was covered by BBC TV and Durham University’s student newspaper. We showed yet again our determination to continue our campaign to close the detention centre and to challenge detention of women seeking asylum anywhere in the UK.
